Tricks to Solve Problems
Did you know that there are thousands of foolproof tricks you can use at home to treat certain problems. Of course, we can’t cover all of them today, but we’ll look at some great ones that you can start right away if they help you solve your problems.
Protect your marble
If you have marble counter-tops in your home, you can consider yourself very lucky because they look great, but you may have noticed that they are easy to stain. When marble has a lot of stains, it loses some of its appeal, but there’s a weird trick you can do to reduce the chances of it getting stained. Just buff them with car polish and it will leave behind a thin film that will help protect the marble in the future.
Preventing vapor mirrors
Once you’ve turned the water to a certain temperature, your bathroom will steam and you won’t be able to see yourself in the mirror when you jump out of the shower. You end up wiping the mirror a dozen times with your towel because it steams over and over again. From now on, you should rub dry soap over the mirror before rubbing it with a dry cloth. It helps prevent steam from obscuring your mirror and saves you a lot of hassle.
No more sticky box
We’re looking at another trick you can perform with a bar of soap , so don’t let anyone tell you it’s only good for washing yourself. After a while, each set of boxes starts to stick and it becomes annoying trying to open them. This is especially true if it’s a set of drawers that you need regularly, but if you rub soap over the runners, the drawers will start to slide open and soon your frustrations will be gone.
Get rid of the glass
House cleaning is not usually considered dangerous, but it’s a little different when you’re dealing with broken glass. If you cut yourself, you might end up bleeding everywhere and the mess will be even harder to clean up. Get rid of as many large pieces of glass with a small brush and hand scoop as you can get rid of the small pieces by pressing a slice of bread over the affected area. Make sure you hold something under the bread when you lift it to prevent the glass from spreading.
Removing furniture recesses
You won’t keep your furniture in the same place forever, and after a while you might want to switch things up. If you have a wool rug and you move the couch to the other side of the room, you will end up with unsightly indentations in your rug that will be difficult to get rid of. You can solve this problem by placing a thin towel over the indentations before ironing, which will lift the fibers back up, but only do this if you have a clean wool rug.
